Welcome to Ashwell State School.
It is a privilege to lead a school where relationships matter, children are known well and families are an important part of our community.
Ashwell may be a small school, but we have high expectations for what our students can achieve. We want every child to feel that they belong, to experience success as a learner and to develop the confidence, curiosity and independence they need for the future.
Our work is guided by a simple but important vision:
Every student belongs, every voice matters, and every learner is supported to thrive through high expectations, strong relationships and quality teaching.
At Ashwell, we are continually strengthening the way we teach and support our students. Our focus is on providing clear, consistent and high-quality teaching; knowing our learners well and responding to their individual strengths and needs; and creating a calm, inclusive and connected school environment where children feel safe to learn and grow.
Our values of Integrity, Safety and Excellence are part of everyday school life. They guide how we learn, how we treat one another and how we contribute to our community.
One of the things I value most about Ashwell is the sense of connection across our school. Staff know students beyond their own classrooms, older and younger children learn and play together, and families are welcomed as partners in their child's education.
I encourage you to explore our website and our Family Information Booklet to learn more about learning, belonging and school life at Ashwell. If you are considering Ashwell for your child, I also warmly invite you to contact us and arrange a visit. There is no better way to get to know our school than to come and experience it for yourself.
Small enough to know every child. Strong enough to help every child thrive.
I look forward to welcoming you to our school community.
Kind regards
Tracey Clark
