At Ashwell State School, relationships matter.
Our staff work closely together to create a welcoming, supportive and engaging learning environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to make progress.
Our team includes teachers, teacher aides, administration and support staff, chaplaincy and visiting specialist staff. Together, we share responsibility for supporting students' learning, wellbeing, participation and sense of belonging.
Being a small school allows staff to know students across the school — not only the children in their own classroom. This helps us build strong relationships, notice when a student may need additional support or challenge, and work collaboratively to respond to individual needs.
We value professional collaboration and continually work to strengthen our teaching practice so students experience clear, consistent and high-quality learning across the school.
Open communication and strong partnerships with families are also an important part of how we work.
