Grounds
The school has a sporting field, multi-purpose court, cricket pitch, play shed and two adventure playgrounds for two different age levels. Our school is highly focused on outdoor learning and consequently planning is underway for the construction of nature play learning areas.
Our students also enjoy riding bikes each day, using bikes donated by our community.
Buildings
Ashwell State School is a small country school which opened in 1887 with one building which is now used as a classroom, tuckshop and staff room. Two extensions to the original building once housed the library but are now used as office space and a meeting room.
Over the years more buildings have been added.
Three demountable buildings each with double teaching spaces are used as single classrooms.
All classrooms have been fitted out with interactive televisions.
Our children enjoy a high technology ratio with a full lab of computers and class sets of iPads used to enhance learning experiences.
